• Note: SCR-PLY.07 is also used by UC-PLY.03 and renders inline within the SCR-PLY.01 lesson viewer in that flow. This page is the UC-PLY.09 copy (prototype is not DRY). Submit mode is used for the main flow (submit / re-submit); view mode is used for AF-4A (already-graded result, read-only).

Assignment submission screen for an assignment_ref ContentItem — displays task instructions, scenario prompt, and a rubric preview table (criterion + max points). Operates in two modes: submit mode (editable — response area adapts to the submission_format set by the instructor, real-time character count, due-date countdown, submission attempt badge for resubmissions) and view mode (read-only — for an already-graded submission, shows the submitted answer, score, and instructor feedback instead). Supports draft auto-save (SS-PLY.05) and resumable chunked file upload (SS-PLY.03) in submit mode.

1. The screen renders in both Lao and English according to the learner's language preference, including all button labels, field labels, and notification messages. [refs: SS-PLY.01]
2. When the learner reaches 90% of the maximum character count, the counter displays a warning color; when the maximum is exceeded, the excess text is highlighted and a warning message is shown, and the Submit button is disabled until the learner trims the text within the limit. [refs: SS-PLY.05]
3. Each file being uploaded displays a progress bar; if the connection is lost and restored, the upload resumes from where it was interrupted and shows the status to the learner. [refs: SS-PLY.03]
4. If the learner clicks Cancel or navigates away while there is unsaved text or files, the system prompts for confirmation: Save draft / Discard changes / Go back and continue. [refs: —]
